Rizhao Steel Holding Group Co., Ltd. The highlight of the company's world-leading equipment and technology is the exclusive introduction of Endless Strip Production (ESP) technology, which is the world's currently most advanced hot-rolled strip steel production technology, and stands for the third technological revolution of the steel industry, realizing production of the specifications 0.6-6.0mm × 900-1600mm.

Rizhao Steel's ESP has obtained the TS16949 automotive industry quality system certification; the ship-building plates have been certified by classification societies of nine countries; the section steel products and the conventional hot rolled coil have been approved by the EU, South Korea, Australia, Southeast Asia and other countries, and additionally obtained the API Q1 system certification; the rebar products have been awarded the “Golden Cup of achieving International Advanced Level”. Rizhao Steel's products are bestsellers throughout the whole country and moreover have been exported to more than 70 countries and regions around the world. In recent years, facing a complex domestic and international economic situation as well as a sluggish market, Rizhao Steel has intensified its strategic transformation and upgrading. In 2017, the Group has achieved a sales revenue of 68 billion yuan RMB, realized a net profit of 7.4 billion yuan RMB, and paid 7.26 billion yuan RMB of taxes (of which 3.06 billion yuan RMB are customs duty). With a steel export volume of 4.267 million tons, amounting to 2.28 billion US dollars, Rizhao Steel ranks second in the national steel industry, and is the only enterprise of Shandong Province that has been selected as one of the most competitive steel enterprises for two consecutive years in the recognized annual ranking published by the China Metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute (MPI). For its advanced technology, Rizhao Steel has been listed in the “Top Ten Events in China's Steel Industry” for two years running. In 2017, the company ranked no. 313 in the “Top 500 Chinese Enterprises”, and no. 157 in the “Top 500 Chinese Manufacturing Enterprises”; it has been the 12th year in a row for Rizhao Steel to be ranked among the “Top 500 Chinese Enterprises”.

Rizhao Steel adheres to the concept of sustainable development, and regards environmental protection as the primary social responsibility of the company, therefore has invested more than 9 billion yuan RMB in energy conservation and environmental protection related construction. In 2017 the investment in environmental protection has reached an amount of 2.2 billion yuan RMB. The current wastewater discharge per ton of steel is 0.0046 cubic meters; COD emissions are 0.063 grams per ton of steel, sulfur dioxide emissions per ton of steel are 0.67 kilograms, and soot emissions are 0.61 kilograms, all meeting the most stringent emission standards and thereby achieving national top level in clean production, ranking first among the members of the China Steel Association. Rizhao Steel has been given the honorary titles of “Enterprise with Outstanding Contribution to Energy Conservation of Shandong Province” and “Advanced Enterprise in Comprehensive Utilization of Resources of Shandong Province”. In 2017, Rizhao Steel has been the sole steel enterprise in the country to be listed by the National Standards Committee and the National Development and Reform Commission as a model for implementation of the national circular economy standards within the steel industry.
